Rongowhakaata Iwi Trust is a mandated Iwi Authority responsible for the protection and growth of assets returned through treaty settlements. We have an integrated operating model that has been designed to reflect the distinct character of the ancestral name Rongowhakaata, with three specialist business units – Wharekai, Rongo and Whakaata.
General Nursery Assistant
We have 4 x full time roles available to start ASAP at our Native Garden Nursery at Makaraka.
The purpose of the role is to provide additional resource and support nursery operations during the propagation season including production, potting, propagation, irrigation, and crop maintenance.
Responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:
· Majority of the job is to prick out and repot seedlings – nursery focus
· Other duties include: moving plants, assisting in watering and general care of plants.
